Lost or Stolen Cards
If your American Express Service card is lost or stolen, contact customer service immediately. This is important because this is the first step in preventing additional fraudulent charges on your account.
When you call customer service, you will be required to provide your name, address, Card number, CID and other details for identification purposes.
Be sure to provide all information requested about the incident to help complete them complete a timely investigation of the loss or theft.
You will be issued you a replacement Card with a value equal to the Available Funds on your Card at the time you notified American Express of the loss or theft.

Unauthorized Transactions
Here are some tips on how to report Unauthorized Transactions on your American Express Serve card:
First, you should call customer service immediately as soon as you become aware of the unauthorized transaction(s).
When you call customer service:
1. Describe the transaction you are unsure or suspicious about, and explain as clearly as you can why you believe an error has occurred or why you need the transaction investigated;
2. Be sure to tell Customer Service the exact dollar amount of the suspected error or unauthorized transaction;
3. Tell the customer service representative approximately when the error or unauthorized transaction took place.
Customer service will investigate your claim within 10 business days. During these 10 days, there will be no credit issued to your account.
If after their investigation, they determine an error has occurred or they find that there were unauthorized transactions on your account, they will correct the issue and restore your lost funds.
Should customer service determine that they need more time to conduct their investigation, they will credit your account within 10 business days for the amount you think is in error or relates to an unauthorized transaction.
However, before they can credit your account, they may request that you send your complaint or question in writing.
You will be given 10 days to submit your complaint in writing. If you fail to do that, customer service may not credit your account.
Complaints or questions submitted in writing should be mailed to American Express, Card Dispute Form, 4315 S 2700 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84184 – 0440.
Note that for errors involving new Cards, point-of-sale, or foreign-initiated transactions, it may take up to 90 days for customer service to conduct their investigation.

Direct Deposit Time
As an American Express Serve cardholder, you may arrange to have all or part of your paycheck deposited to your service card.
